Evaluation of Adipose Cell-Based Therapies for the Treatment of Thumb CMCJ Osteoarthritis

Eleni Karagergou et al. reviewed the current published research studying the use of enzymatic or mechanically processed adipose tissue in treating thumb carpometacarpal joint osteoarthritis. In their study, they state, “Although the number of available studies is limited, the results of intra-articular injection of autologous fat in thumb CMCJ osteoarthritis are positive and very promising.” Access the full study below.
